"Fight with all you have!"Born on the Gold Coast, Yoshimitsu was son to a nomadic druid from High Isle, and an Imperial legionary belonging to the Lanius clan, part of the aristocratic (and largely lycanthropic) House Ursa. At a young age he was orphaned alongside his younger sister, Tsuki, and the two were raised by their father's clan. In his adolescence, Yoshi, like the rest of the youth in House Ursa, prepared for their rite of passage that would bestow him Hircine's Gift. He sought special training from a retired Dragonknight of the Manji Clan living on the island of Stros M'kai. His master's upbringing in Hakoshae exposed Yoshi to the Akaviri culture and art of war; forging alongside them a unique green bladed nodachi at the completion of his training. On his 18th birthday, House Ursa bestowed upon him lycanthropy after passing his trials with ease. After becoming a werewolf, Yoshi set out on his own, desiring to take on only the most challenging hunts. He found these opportunities after successfully joining the Dark Brotherhood. For some time, Yoshimitsu's blood lust was insatiable.. he reveled in every contract handed to him- always eager for the the chance at a perfect kill.. until one fateful night when he discovered that the child of a newly deceased target was witness to the slaughter. After this cruel act, guilt from his many sins quickly overwhelmed him. With some careful negotiation, he departed the Dark Brotherhood in shame. When he returned home, disaster struck during his sister's own rite of passage. While Yoshi witnessed her ritual hunt, Tsuki was violently attacked and infected with vampirism by a wandering bloodfiend. Lacking the will to strike down his beloved sister, Yoshimitsu subdued the frenzied Tsuki and brought her back to their waiting family. Angered by Yoshi's refusal to slay Tsuki, the elders of House Ursa ordered both of them to be executed. Through the intervention of their grandfather, the siblings were instead banished from House Ursa, but promised death should they ever be seen again on the Gold Coast. Afterward, the embittered Tsuki decided to travel alone- parting ways with her brother. Seeking new and better purpose in life, Yoshimitsu took up his blade once more. Donning his newly forged Akaviri Armor, he stepped out into Tamriel; seeking redemption from his evil past through righteous actions.
